How often do I need a cleaning and exam?
Most people need to have a dental cleaning every six months but everyone is different and some people only need their teeth cleaned once a year while others need it every three to four months.
Do you see children?
Absolutely! The American Dental Association is currently recommending children be seen by their first birthday. Our philosophy is slightly different. When you are brushing and flossing for your child, if you see anything that doesn't seem right, we want to see your child right away no matter his/her age. If everything looks normal then we'd love to see your little one about age three.
What kind of fillings do you do?
We do both traditional silver or amalgam fillings and composite resin fillings.
Does your office do root canals?
We do not do root canals in our office. We will do our best to get you an appointment with one of the two local Endodontists within a day or two.
Does your office do extractions?
We do extractions for children and occasionally on adults. In most instances, you will be referred to an Oral Surgeon for treatment within 24 hours.
What are dental sealants?
Sealants are one of the most effective ways of preventing tooth decay on the occlusal or biting surfaces of your back teeth. A sealant is a thin, plastic coating that is placed into the grooves of the chewing surfaces of your molars and occasionally premolars as soon as they erupt into your mouth. Because we know what a powerful preventive tool sealants are, if you lose a sealant or any part of one, we will replace it at no charge for the rest of your life.
